Volunteer and Make a Difference at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in your community? The Missionary Unit at the First Presbyterian Church of Howard County is creating a list of members and friends who are eager to volunteer for local mission initiatives. This program, called Local Outreach, is open to adults aged 18 and over, as well as youth aged 14-17. All volunteers must complete the necessary training and paperwork before they can start their service. Adults must go through VIRTUS training, which offers two different types of training depending on the ministry they are serving in. Youth volunteers must fill out the Worthy of the Call form and submit a volunteer application with three references over 18 years of age. If you are interested in volunteering, be sure to include your information in the request.

References can complete the forms found in the application package. By volunteering, you can help prepare for our Sunday service and make our Church stronger, more responsible and a clearer reflection of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For more information, contact Judy Brown or Andrea Barnes at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County, located at 9325 Presbyterian Circle in Columbia, Maryland 21045. This congregation is part of the Baltimore Presbyterian Church in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
